The Sonora Trio plays a wide range of instruments from around the world - both classical and indigenous. The following instruments are in the trio’s global repertoire performances; electric and acoustic guitars, piccolo, C, alto and bass flutes, Egyptian ney, Irish penny whistles, Chinese flute, Calacheck pipe & whistles, ocarinas, recorders, Native American Northeast and Southwest flutes and drums, circle flute, wooden and bass baroque flutes, mosenos, tarkas, rainsticks, shakers, cymbals, piano, synthesizer, keyboards as well voices - spoken and sung.

Composer, Judith Sainte Croix creates new works for the group’s signature electro-acoustic chamber instrumentations that combines ancient and ethnic instruments with classical and electric ones. Combinations like baroque flute, electric guitar and piano; or soprano, synthesizer,  indigenous South American moseno, and acoustic guitar.
